WU10 Sapphires

10-1 win against Beacon Hill Brumbies

WU9 BTH Rubies v Narrabeen Rubies

Lost 2-5

The Rubies won again; Unfortunately they were wearing black and white stripes which saw the BTH version suffer their first loss of the season. The first half was a seesaw affair, Narrabeen opened the scoring only for BTH to strike back with one of their best goals of the season when Lozi did some sterling work down the left wing before releasing Olivia who maintained her fine record of scoring in every game. Narrabeen restored their lead but Lozi was able to draw the teams level at the break with her first goal of the season. The Raiders were confident of getting something out of the game going into the second half but found their backs to the wall for most of it. They defended admirably but just when it looked like they might hold on for a draw, Narrabeen scored their third. Straight from the restart, BTH nearly equalised again only for Charlotte's shot to hit the post and go straight across the goal and somehow to safety. In the last few minutes BTH threw all they had into getting an equaliser but this led to inevitable gaps which saw the final score flatter the hosts. Olivia was player of the week for her consistent good play. Special mention to Eadie and Ella for putting their hands up to go in goal.
